The first was the Saturday crisis which threatened the Israeli governmental coalition, while the second was the approval of the Recommendations Law which shields the Prime Minister from making the recommendations of the investigation with him public.
Yaakov Litzman, Israeli Minister of Health, and leader of the Ultra-Orthodox political party “United Torah Judaism”, had officially resigned in protest of what he called “the desecration of Saturday’s sanctity”, only to withdraw his resignation later that week.
