This issue covers the period 3-6 December 2017. Israeli social media networks were preoccupied with several main topics, most notably:
1. Investigations with David Bitan, a Likud member and Israel’s coalition chair, on cases of corruption.
This bulletin covers the period between 29.11.17 – 3.12.17 during which the Israeli digital world buzzed with two main issues; the first was the repercussions of the Recommendations Law, while the second was the incident in Al Kasra village where a Palestinian was martyred.
This bulletin covers the period between 26-29 November 2017 during which the digital world was buzzing with two main issues. The first was the Saturday crisis which threatened the Israeli governmental coalition, while the second was the approval of the Recommendations Law which shields the Prime Minister from making the recommendations of the investigation with him public.
Yaakov Litzman, Israeli Minister of Health, and leader of the Ultra-Orthodox political party “United Torah Judaism”, had officially resigned in protest of what he called “the desecration of Saturday’s sanctity”, only to withdraw his resignation later that week.
The current bulletin deals with the period between 22-25 November 2017, where the virtual world occupied a number of topics, most notably the statements of Deputy Foreign Minister Tsippi Hutubili regarding the Jews of the United States. The Israeli virtual world condemned Hutuibili's remarks, broadcasted on television, saying they were touched by American Jews. Hutubili clarified in her remarks that most American Jews do not understand Israel because "they never sent their children to fight for their country and do not know how it feels like when they are confronted with falling rockets.
The current bulletin deals with the period between 19 - 22 November 2017, where the virtual world occupied a number of topics, most importantly of which was the decision of the Israeli President, Reuven Rivlin, not to grant amnesty to soldier, Azarya, who executed Martyr Abdel-Fattah Sharif.
