KM Hamad Ammar, from Yisrael Beytenu, and three other KMs from the same political bloc submitted a bill that gives preferential treatment in employment in the Service Sector to those who serve in the State Army.

(A bill designed to prosecute individuals who criticize the occupying Israeli army as an entity, apart from such default acts against a particular soldier. The bill would terms such acts as defamatory and libel intended to tar the reputation of the Israeli army, as stated in the text of the law. The law clearly targets Israeli human rights and other such organizations that report crimes army crimes)

The Palestinian Forum for Israeli Studies (MADAR) is an independent research centre specialising in Israeli affairs, based in Ramallah, Palestine. MADAR was established in 2000 by a group of Palestinian intellectuals and academics, including the late poet Mahmoud Darwish, Dr. Lily Feidy, Dr. Ali Jarbawi, Dr. Ahmad Harb, Mr. Walid Al-Ahmad and Mr. Akram Haniyyeh. The centre was registered as a not-for-profit organisation with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior, and obtained a research centre’s operational licensing from the Palestinian Ministry of Information.
