Qadaya Isra'iliyya takes issues related to copyright infringement or plagiarism very seriously. It adheres to high standards of research integrity and expects the same from contributing authors. As such, the journal's editorial team always scrutinizes any attempts at literary theft or other issues related to research integrity or publication ethics. Submitted articles can be verified using duplication-checking software. If an article is found to have plagiarized another work, included copyrighted materials from an external party without permission, or if there is a dispute over authorship, we reserve the right to take appropriate action.

Journal Description

Qadaya Isra'iliyya (Israeli Affairs Journal) is a quarterly research journal published by the Palestinian Forum for Israeli Studies (MADAR) and is considered the first Arab journal of its kind specializing in Israeli affairs. The journal welcomes all scholarly contributions that offer new insights into the Israeli social, economic, political, cultural, and security landscape, including current social, intellectual, and political fissures. The journal also considers the study of the Zionist movement, colonial project, Jewish religion, international relations, and Jewish communities around the world as integral parts of Israeli affairs research. Most of the contributions published in the Israeli Affairs Journal undergo a scientific review process that maintains research rigor and academic writing, while also providing a space for new researchers to publish their work and contributions.

The Israeli Affairs Journal accepts various types of contributions that adhere to the journal's policies and vision as a non-partisan, academically oriented research journal, free of intellectual or ideological bias toward any particular political or intellectual current. As such, the journal welcomes one of the following contributions:

1. Studies: Ranging from 4,500 to 6,000 words, including notes, references, and accompanying tables.

2. Translations: The journal welcomes translations of articles from foreign languages (especially Hebrew and English) through direct coordination with the editorial board and after obtaining approval on the appropriateness of the topic for the journal's vision and policies.

3. Book Reviews: Ranging from 2,000 to 2,500 words, sent through direct coordination with the editorial board and after obtaining approval on the title of the book to be reviewed.

4. Hebrew Literature Corner: A special section not open to general contributions from researchers, which includes excerpts from Israeli or Jewish literary works accompanied by a critical introduction.

5. Library Archive: A special section not open to general contributions from researchers, featuring brief overviews of the latest publications from Israeli publishing houses, films, television series, and radio programs related to the Israeli scene.

Objectives and Vision

The first issue of Qadaya Isra'iliyya was published in the winter of 2001. Since then, the journal has become the foremost Arab source for providing critical studies on Israeli affairs, pioneering key debates on society and politics in Israel, the Zionist movement, and all matters related to colonial practices and Israeli Occupation. The journal offers rigorous and critical knowledge, engaging in academic and research dialogues with various academic and research circles worldwide, and participating in key discussions related to Israel, both on the theoretical-intellectual and empirical-observational levels.

Qadaya Isra'iliyya continuously strives to assume a leading position in terms of content and topics covered, and attempts to dedicate a specific theme for each issue to address the latest developments in the Israeli scene. As a result, the journal has become a primary destination for many prominent researchers, key thinkers specializing in Israeli affairs, as well as a rising cohort of promising young researchers.
